Morro Vermelho - cachaça jequitiba wood
A young and vivid 12-months old cachaça, light and fresh, with a soft finish and subtle notes of wood. The maturation in Jequitibá wood makes this classic cachaça lose some of its sharper edges. It's a surprising combination of sweetness and full alcoholic flavor, thanks to the 42% alc.
It is widely used in cocktails like the caipirinha, but it is definitely worth trying it neat or on the rocks.
The Fazenda Morro Vermelho ("Red Hill") in Minas Gerais has been one of the strongholds of the Ferreira family for many years now. This old Portuguese-Brazilian family has deep roots in the state. It should be known that they distill in traditional copper stills and age the cachaça in wooden barrels. But the family recipe which has been handed down from generation to generation remains a secret.
To say it with Iron Maiden: Ruuuuuun to the (Red) hills!!
